We are all acquainted with the loathsome consequences of living for the body and denying both mind and soul; and we see that real life means the complete expression of all that man can give forth through body, mind, and soul. Whatever he can say, no man can be really happy or satisfied unless his body is living fully in every function, and unless the same is true of his mind and his soul. Wherever there is unexpressed possibility, or function not performed, there is unsatisfied desire. Desire is possibility seeking expression, or function seeking performance.
This is a very profound statement in “The Science of Getting Rich”. Read it very carefully!
When you deny the expression of anything that you are capable of producing, you give a little of your life away. NEVER to get it back!
Time is always moving forward, in spite of what you are doing right now, productive or not. When you start to give up time in non productive ways you are squandering your life in ways you can not give back.
Let me give you a couple of example based on the paragraph above:
Example 1 – You go out to celebrate your friends birthday and you enjoy a little too much of the bubbly (Alcoholic beverages). The next day you find yourself in bed unable to move from a huge hangover that lasts for two days. You can’t think straight and you are no good for anyone around you.
You have successfully wasted two days where you could have used your body, mind and soul to produce something that others would have found very useful.
Example 2 - You tend to eat a little too much. You frequent fast food restaurants and the buffet almost everyday. You have added a few too many inches to the waste and you have now developed a heart condition and diabetes.
Now if this happens at a younger age, you could rendered yourself useless for the rest of your life.
Now that could be wasting a lot of time. Time you can never get back.
These are a couple of pretty extreme examples of living for the body and denying the mind and soul.
The fact is we were put on this earth to produce a result. To give to society a positive result from our unique strengths and abilities.
We need to utilize every fiber of our being to make this happen.
Our mind, body and soul!
When we live only for one of three, we leave out all sorts of possible values we could bring to our world.
We live in an expanding world and for this to continue to happen, we need to be constantly looking for ways to positively produce a result for those willing to pay for it.
Giving of our talents begins the receiving process. When we produce great results, we end up with great rewards.
When we squander our unique talents and abilities, we have to fight with others who have done the same for the scraps left over.
