The Right to Be Rich (Part 8)

There are three motives for which we live; we live for the body, we live for the mind, we live for the soul. No one of these is better or holier than the other; all are alike desirable, and no one of the three–body, mind, or soul–can live fully if either of the others is cut short of full life and expression. It is not right or noble to live only for the soul and deny mind or body; and it is wrong to live for the intellect and deny body or soul.

Body, Mind and Soul – These are the three things that we live for. And all three of them need to be expressed fully.

1. Body – We need proper nourishment to keep our bodies working properly internally. We also need proper exercise to make sure our bodies are healthy as well.

But we also use our bodies to produce value for others.

Physically, we use our hands to create things. We use our mouths to communicate ideas that produce value.

This is just a very small list of things that we use our body for and why it needs full expression.

2. Mind - We need to keep our minds sharp. Our minds are what create our desires and then it is also used to formulate the plan we use to achieve our desires.

We need books to expose ourselves to “new” information. When we expose ourselves to “new” information, we start to make connections between what we already know and outside possibilities.

Without the resources necessary to expose ourselves to this knowledge, we deny ourselves fuller expression of the mind.

3. Soul – It has been said that we are a “spiritual being having a human experience.” It is also my belief that my soul will live on past my physical body.

This where we need to exercise spiritual awareness. That there is something bigger than us, that has created all of this.

There are many ways to bring about fuller expression of your soul and this is completely up to you.

* A word of caution here: One of the things that gets a lot of us in trouble here comes when we judge others way of dealing with their spiritual development.

According to teaching I have exposed myself to, nothing is good or bad. It is our reaction to a situation that causes an appearance of good or bad.

One of the examples that I like is the example of the lady who is on her way to a meeting when she gets a flat tire making here late for the meeting.

She is upset because this is an important meeting. She calls the roadside service to help her with the tire. And the come and change it.

When she gets to the place where her meeting is at she notices the area roped off and emergency crews working at the scene.

Her first reaction to the flat tire was despair and upset. (Bad) She was going to be late for her important meeting.

For the tow truck driver it was a paid job and he could us the income to help with his daughters education. (Good)

When she got to the location of her meeting she found out that there was an explosion in the restaurant below that killed several members of the people she was meeting with. If she was on time she would have been involved. (Relief and Gratitude)

This is an extreme example but one that gives several views of the same situation. It is our reaction to a situation that causes something to be good or bad.

And we have control over our reaction!

The Right to Be Rich (Part 7)

There is nothing wrong in wanting to get rich. The desire for riches is really the desire for a richer, fuller, and more abundant life; and that desire is praise worthy. The man who does not desire to live more abundantly is abnormal, and so the man who does not desire to have money enough to buy all he wants is abnormal.

When you read the news and watch the TV news cast, you will undoubtedly come across stories about how rich people are somehow not doing their fair share. And how CEO’s are making way too much money and so forth.

This is lack programming at its best. And it often keeps people limited in their living at best because of the guilt they have over wanting to be rich.

Wallace Wattles explains to us that “There is nothing wrong in wanting to be rich.”

When you become rich you are living your life to its fullest. The desire to live an abundant life is completely normal and should be acted on.

He further goes on to say, “The man who does not desire to live more abundantly is abnormal, and so the man who does not desire to have money enough to buy all he wants is abnormal.”

Think about that for a second. The person who does not desire to live more abundantly is… ABNORMAL!

This person goes against the natural laws that God has put forth for us to obey. The fact that we go against the natural laws is why we live with as little as we do.

But God gave us the ability to choose how we want to live, and if we are living with lack, this is a chose that we have made for ourselves.

What choses are you making? Are you working with the Laws or against the Laws.

This is also a matter of habitual thinking and action. Take control of your habits and you take control of your life. Go to http://www.habitbustingsystem.com and start making your habits work for you!
